Local Pubs and Cafes
Weekends and holidays mean that if you want to eat out, you’ll need to book a couple of weeks in advance usually. We’ve included a few of our favourites but if you want any help or guidance, just ask.

Lovely food, excellent Sunday lunch and take away pizzas. Dog friendly. Inside and outside tables. - The Old White Horse Inn – Pontneddfechan – 01639 721173 – 6 minute drive – walk at a push
Very friendly, very dog friendly, good menu choices, long opening hours. Inside and outside tables. - The Angel – Pontneddfechan – 01639 722013 – 6 minutes drive – walk at a push
On the main road, lots of space inside and out. Varied menu, dog friendly, good selection of beers on tap. Great chips. - Sgwd Gwladys Coffee, Bar and Bistro – 01639 721519 – 6 minute drive, walk at a push
Bistro/cafe/bar. Good coffee, cake, brekky during the day, bar and restaurant by night. Dog friendly and good opening hours. - The New Inn – Ystradfellte – 01639 721014 – 5 minutes drive, walk at a push

Public Transport
Not surprisingly, public transport is very limited around here. The nearest railway stations are Neath (direct line from Cardiff) and Aberdare.
